Certified by the New Mexico Board of Optometry, Dr. Brandon C. Hicks received his undergraduate degree in Health Science from Brigham University- Idaho. He graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. He completed his residency at The Department of Veterans Affairs Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. This residency also included fitting specialty contact lenses at the Moran Eye Center at the University of Utah Hospital.

His areas of interest are ocular disease and contact lenses. Dr. Hicks specializes in medically treating and managing patients with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic disease, and other infections or diseases of the eye. He specializes in fitting contact lenses on patients with high or abnormal amounts of astigmatism, dry eyes, keratoconus, ocular trauma, and corneal transplant. He is trained in the most recent and state of the art contact lens technology to help his patients obtain the best vision possible.

Dr. Hicks is a member of the American Optometric Association, the American Academy of Optometry, and Beta Sigma Kappa optometry honor society. He resides in Las Cruces and loves spending time with his beautiful wife and children. His primary office is in Las Cruces and he also travels to Alamogordo and Deming.

Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology Dr. J. Roger Hall is a graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He completed his internship at the United State Naval Hospital in Newport Rhode Island, and completed his Residency and fellowship training at the University of Indiana. He was a participant in a fellowship in California with Dr. Robert M. Sinskey, one of the founding fathers of modern phacoemulsification cataract and intra-ocular lens implant surgery.

Dr. Hall maintained a solo referral practice of ophthalmology for 25 years in Wichita, Kansas, has performed well over 7,000 ocular surgeries, and is a member of the American Board of Ophthalmology. He has several scientific publications as well as chapters in ophthalmology textbooks. He has lectured and demonstrated surgical techniques at the state, national and international level.

Dr. Hall joined the Alamogordo Eye Clinic, Inc. team in November 2001. His home office is in Las Cruces but has branch office hours in Alamogordo.

Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Michael Margolis received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin in Electrical Engineering. He then went to the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston for his M.D. Dr. Margolis completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Stony Brook Medical Center and did his ophthalmology residency in Nassau University Medical Center where he also served as a chief.

After residency Dr. Margolis did a year of a research fellowship at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute working on lipidomics for new treatments of glaucoma. Dr. Margolis has done extensive clinical work with Optical Coherence Tomography and has multiple pending publications. Dr. Margolis has also been asked to take part in writing a book chapter.

Dr. Margolis grew up in El Paso, TX. His hobbies include exploring different areas of New Mexico and playing the viola.

Certified by the New Mexico Board of Optometry, Dr. Jerom Nelson received his Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, OR. After graduation, he served in the United States Air Force as Chief of Optometric Services at Holloman Air Force Base from 2013-2016. Upon completion of his Air Force commitment, Dr. Nelson joined the Fillmore Eye Clinic to continue providing excellent comprehensive eye care for the military members and residents here in southern New Mexico.

Dr. Nelson’s areas of interest are ocular disease and routine eye care, including contact lens exams. He specializes in low vision exams by providing the most technologically advanced magnification devices for patients who suffer from visually debilitating conditions, such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and other diseases of the eye. Dr. Nelson is dedicated to providing the most advanced eye care available to help his patients obtain the best vision possible.

Dr. Nelson is a member of the American Optometric Association, and the New Mexico Optometric Association. He resides in Alamogordo with his wife and three children. Certified by the New Mexico Board of Optometry, Dr. Bryce S. Johnson received his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience from Brigham Young University. He graduated with honors from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. During his professional education, Dr. Johnson provided medical eye care to patients in western Tennessee at The Eye Center, Memphis Family Vision, and Hughes Eye Group. Dr. Johnson rendered professional services to patients in rural areas of the southeastern United States through Remote Area Medical and in Oaxaca, Mexico, through the organization One Sight.

His areas of interest include ocular disease, routine eye care, and contact lenses. Dr. Johnson specializes in managing ocular conditions such as cataracts, diabetes, hypertension, glaucoma, infections, age-related macular degeneration (ARMD), corneal injuries, and dry eye syndrome. He focuses on patient education that is easy to understand, both in English and Spanish. Dr. Johnson believes you can live well if you see well.

Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Optometric Association, the New Mexico Optometric Association, and Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. He resides in Las Cruces with his wonderful wife and son. He enjoys playing the piano, games, and spending time with family and friends.

Certified by the New Mexico Board of Optometry, Dr. Jacob Bailey received his undergraduate degree with highest honors in Human Health studies from Arizona State University. He also graduated with honors from Pacific University College of Optometry. After graduation, he served in the Air Force at Dyess AFB in Abilene Texas. He practiced as the sole doctor providing eye care to active duty and retired military members. He also sat on the Executive Board for Dyess AFB Medical Group and served as the Medical Group Chief for the Emergency Operations Center working closely with community hospital leaders.

Dr. Bailey is passionate about providing the highest level of comprehensive eye care to all patients. He is a general practice optometrist that provides for the visual and ocular care for all ages. He loves working with patients who have healthy eyes and people that have been diagnosed with disease to help maximize their ocular health and vision.

Dr. Bailey is excited to serve the people of Southern New Mexico. He resides in Alamogordo with his wife and three children. He enjoys coaching and playing all sports, and spending time in the outdoors with family and friends. Dr. Bailey is available to see patients in Alamogordo and Ruidoso.

She graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry in San Antonio, Texas. During her training she was the recipient of the Clinical Excellence Award for exceptional patient care, and she was selected for membership into the Gold Key International Optometric Honor Society for outstanding leadership and service to her class and the profession.

She has had the opportunity to participate in and present research at multiple conferences. Dr. Dosch is also grateful for the opportunity to have served on international mission trips to Panama and Guatemala where she provided comprehensive eye exams and glasses to hundreds of patients.

Her areas of interest include ocular disease and contact lenses. Dr. Dosch is passionate about providing care to those with diabetes, cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye and other eye diseases. Her goal is to ensure patients understand their eye condition, and she is dedicated to educating people with regards to their health and its effects on their eyes.

Dr. Dosch is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the New Mexico Optometric Association. She resides in Las Cruces with her husband and two dogs. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking in the beautiful mountains and spending time with family.
